2012 | Text by Ethan C. Dickinson | “die Betrunkenheit” is the second of two Schubert-style lieder parodies for soprano. The pieces take on all the emotional seriousness of 19th Century German art song, set in the context of the drunken drama of a young woman. Premiered at the University of Northern Colorado by Briana Marie Sibley.
